Group Buy Terms

Group Buy lets shoppers team up to unlock a lower price. These terms explain how teams work, how your payment is handled, how you gain access to Group Buy, and the fair-use rules that keep group pricing sustainable for everyone.

Section 1. How Group Buy Works

1.1. Group Buy lets you form a new team or join an existing team for an eligible product. When a team reaches the required number of members, the team "completes" and every member receives the lower group price.

1.2. Until a team completes, the group price is not final. If a team does not complete within its time window, no group order is placed and any payment hold on your order is released.

Section 2. Payment — Authorization Hold

2.1. When you join or start a team, your payment is placed as an authorization hold — not an immediate charge. The hold reserves the funds on your payment method but does not transfer money.

2.2. Your payment is only captured (charged) when the team completes. If the team does not complete, the hold is released and you are not charged.

2.3. Authorization holds may appear as a pending transaction with your bank until the team completes or the hold is released. Release timing depends on your payment provider.

Section 3. Unlocking Group Buy Access

3.1. Group Buy is a benefit reserved for established buyers. To unlock access, your account must have reached $100 in lifetime spend on the platform.

3.2. Lifetime spend is tracked automatically by the platform. Once you cross the $100 threshold, Group Buy becomes available to your account.

Section 4. Fair-Use Policy — "Bails"

Group pricing only works when buyers who join a completed team actually keep their orders. To protect the integrity of group pricing, the following anti-abuse rules apply.

4.1. What counts as a bail. If you cancel or refund an order that came from an already-completed Group Buy, that cancellation is recorded as a "bail." Cancelling a team order before the team completes is not a bail — only orders from completed teams count.

4.2. Bails accumulate. Each qualifying cancellation adds one bail to your record.

4.3. Access pause at 3 bails. When you reach your 3rd bail, Group Buy access is paused on your account.

Section 5. Restoring Access After a Pause

5.1. Paused access is restored by continued spending. Every additional $100 of spend removes one bail.

5.2. Worked example, starting from 3 bails (access paused):

• +$100 spent → 1 bail removed → 2 bails remaining → access restored.
• +$200 more spent ($300 total) → 2 more bails removed → 0 bails — record cleared.

5.3. In other words, from a paused state at 3 bails, an additional $100 of spend is enough to restore access, and an additional $300 of spend clears your bail record entirely.

Section 6. Why This Policy Exists

6.1. Group pricing is a shared discount: it depends on every member of a completed team honoring their order. Repeated cancellations after a team completes undermine the price for everyone else in that team.

6.2. The bail rules exist solely to keep group pricing fair and sustainable. They are not a penalty on good-faith buyers — a single cancellation, or cancellations before a team completes, will not pause your access.

7.1. These terms supplement, and are part of, the platform Terms of Service. Where this document is silent, the Terms of Service apply.

7.2. We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Group Buy after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
